Our team

Team Manteri is a dream team of four accomplished people in their respective domains. They have come together to realise their dream of forming a start-up which delivers recently harvested produce to the consumers directly from the estate. Their goal is to make available premium coffee and pepper products and eventually other spices to the end users at affordable prices and to do away with the notion that premium products are pricey. The users of Manteri products also have the added advantage of consuming insecticide and pesticide free products. The Manteri team encourages entrepreneurship in women by making them part of the distribution process and to provide them with guidance whenever required.

Dechamma (Pavan)

Media and Communications

Dechamma (Pavan) comes from a family of agriculturists who have been very open to new ways of farming practices and experimenting with new crops. Growing up in this type of environment has instilled a love for agriculture and the habit of ‘thinking out of the box’. Having served as a lecturer and a copy writer she comes with ample knowledge of the written craft and the discipline to last till the finish with any task that she undertakes. She is blessed with a green thumb and is knowledgeable about native plants and trees.

Vivek Venkatesh

Finance and Quality

Vivek Venkatesh brings with him a rich experience of 18+ years as an IT professional who is interested in investment banking. Originally from Chikkaballapur (Karnataka) he has the knowledge and grasp of farming which he inherited from his grandparents and extended family. One of his passions include cooking Indian cuisine using the right spices. He has mastered the art of getting the right flavours from organic ingredients and this is what drives him to ensure MANTERI keeps the right quality, always.

Nithin Prakash

Sales & Marketing

Nithin Prakash is from the service industry with extensive and expansive knowledge of consumer behaviour and sales. His passion is to deliver products and services which are close to the consumer’s heart. A tech savvy person with the latest gadgets he has developed a keen interest in new methods of farming. His substantial experience in customer behaviour and market analysis ensures quality products are aptly priced to reach everyone.

Sandeep

Agriculturist

Sandeep is a third-generation agriculturist from Coorg who has been working in the IT industry for close to 20 years. Though he has an illustrious career in the corporate world, his deep desire has always been to make agriculture more sustainable and profitable for the farmer. In this age of ready-to-eat food he would always wonder how to reach consumers with unprocessed and fresh products at reasonable costs. This gave rise to the idea of MANTERI. Spending time in the estate and reaping the benefits of his labour is what gives Sandeep the sense of satisfaction and fulfilment.

Harvested from premium quality robusta coffee plants, shade grown amidst the towering indigenous trees like Honne, Matti, Beeti and Balanji trees, Manteri Coffee beans are cultivated without the use of artificial fertilizers and pesticides. After a process of carefully handpicking the perfect coffee bean, it then undergoes various processes from sun drying to roasting to grinding using modern technology but classical techniques. Each process is carried about flawlessly while keeping in mind the quality and most importantly the unique flavour of the coffee.
